Liron Gertsman, a multiple award winning bird watcher and photographer, has been interested in nature pretty much since he could talk. It did not take him long to begin pursuing bird watching and nature photography, which he has been doing for nearly a decade. Still only 16, he has amassed a body of work that is a testament to his special talents and passion. He loves the outdoors more than anything in life and is resolutely determined to protect our precious environment. His focus is on birds; he has traveled across North and Central America photographing them. Please enjoy his work on this website by exploring his various galleries.
"People often ask me if it's birding that's my life passion, or photography. I've always found this question impossible to answer. For me, the two go together. Out of the 693 bird species I have seen as of the time of writing this, I have photographed 681. Basically what that means is that I'm never without my camera when out in nature. It may sound like I'm more of a photographer than birder, but I am an endless lister, keeping track of every bird I have seen or heard in the current year, in each location, and in what month. I am an avid user of eBird. which allows me to keep track of my observations every single day of my life. My parents wonder why I can't keep lists of the things I'm asked to do. But somehow, I always list the birds!"
